Get ready to wear a rainbow this season, as color is back in a big way!

Liven up drab winter mornings by turning your legs into a veritable rainbow of hues this winter with colored tights from MyTights.com.

It started with the acid hues reminiscent of the 1980s back in spring, then progressed to jewel colors like rich purples and greens later on in the year.

Now, virtually anything goes when it comes to color - and you can make the most of it by investing in some bold colored tights from an array of quality brands such as Jonathan Aston and Trasparanze.

Pretty much everyone in celebland is wearing colored opaque hosiery, which is great as there are so many fab short skirts around at the moment - now we can wear them without having to worry about our pale pins!

Subtle Color

However, people who have not tried colored tights before may be slightly daunted at the prospect. Don't be - we're here to help.

The first thing to remember is not to go overboard - if you're wearing bright hues and loud prints elsewhere on your body, you probably don't want them on your legs as well, unless you want to look like Will Ferrell in Elf.

To add a splash of color without committing to exposing your whole leg, wear colored opaques with knee-high boots. This will let you get used to the extra brightness while creating a quirky look.

Head Turning Color

While a lot of people might avoid red, it can be a great color for adding a frivolous side to your outfit. Use red hosiery like Trasparenze Gennifer Merino Wool Tights as you would a bag, matching it to the shades you are already wearing to create depth and interest.

If you want to really turn heads, opt for clashing colors. Forget what your mum told you about red and pink or green and blue and wear them together to your heart's content! We love red tights with pink clothes and accessories, or orange with pink tights.

On their own with a black shift dress, pink tights like Pamela Mann's 80 denier variety can create a cool girly look reminiscent of the 1960s - think Jackie O and wear them with attitude and plenty of eyeliner!

Seasonal Color

We also love very on-trend white tights like Falke's Pure Matt 50 Denier style this year after first seeing them on a host of celebs. They will pair brilliantly with this season's vintage lace or velvet dresses and shoe boots or lace-up high brogues. However, avoid looking like a pirate or Alice in Wonderland by not combining them with anything too flouncy in the skirt department.

Purple hosiery like Jonathan Aston's 40-denier Opaque Tights and green tights as Cette's 60D Dublin Tights in Loden green are fab for creating a luxurious autumnal look, while blue tights will go with pretty much anything. We love wearing Falke's Pure Matt 100 Colored Tights in Sapphire with grey jumper dresses and charcoal ankle boots.

Finally, don't forget classic colored hpsiery like black, brown tights and grey tights. You may be used to wearing these colors, but you could update your style by going for sheer tights if you usually have opaques, or fishnet tights if you want to try a new look.

There we have it - head to MyTights.com and liven up your winter wardrobe with a splash of color! Don't forget that the brands we introduced here produce a host of other styles and prints too, all of which would be fab this season and which you can find in our fashion hosierysection.
